Reptiles are ectotherm, and use heat from an external source to thermoregulate their optimal body temperature. Most reptiles use direct radiant heat from the sun in combination with conductive heat from sun-heated surfaces such as branches, rocks or other heat accumulating structures. Providing such an appropriate, species related, temperature gradient in the terrarium is an important factor in successful reptile keeping. With the Exo Terra Thermostats you can create a well-controlled heating system that allows you to maintain the required temperature conditions similar to those found in a desert or tropical environment.

Providing the correct species related temperature gradient, in combination with appropriate humidity levels, in the terrarium is an important factor in successful reptile and amphibian keeping. With the Exo Terra® Thermostats you can create a well-controlled 24-hour heating system that allows you to maintain the required temperature conditions similar to those found in a desert or tropical environment. The Exo Terra® Thermostats will also help to prevent overheating and undercooling during hot summer days or cold winter nights
Extremely Accurate & reliable.
All our Exo Terra® Thermostats haven been designed to prevent accidental temperature changes by using a recessed dial or double-action push button/dial system, depending on the Thermostat type. They also feature surge protection, MCU protection, a built-in fuse and come with a memory IC in case there’s any issues with the electricity network. The memory IC stores the last settings in case of a power cut, and assures that when the power returns, the Thermostat automatically switches to the correct time, temperature, and humidity settings.
