The Exo Terra BIOTIC Humid Hide creates a localised humid microclimate inside the terrarium when prepared with a suitable damp medium such as sphagnum moss. Its enclosed lower chamber gives reptiles and amphibians a secure place to rest while choosing when to seek additional moisture—particularly useful during shedding and for species that benefit from a humid retreat.

Lift the removable lid to refresh the medium without disturbing the rest of the enclosure. The perforated internal tray keeps the damp material separate from the animal’s resting area while allowing moisture to move into the hide. Smooth, rounded surfaces make routine care straightforward, and the low biomorphic form settles naturally into planted, tropical or arid layouts while coordinating with the wider BIOTIC collection. Position the hide within the species-appropriate thermal gradient, away from the hottest basking area, and keep the medium damp rather than saturated.
