Biotic
Biomorphic reptile hides, ledges and feeding solutions
Design that transforms everyday habitat essentials into organic forms.
BIOTIC is a coordinated range of reptile terrarium accessories for shelter, climbing, feeding and hydration. The collection includes ground-level reptile hides, a humid hide, an elevated hanging hide, glass-mounted terrarium ledges, food and water dishes, a mealworm dish and a cricket feeder.
Each product combines a clearly defined habitat function with the same biomorphic design language. The result is a calm, coherent terrarium in which individual elements work together without looking artificial or overly technical.
No single setup suits every reptile. Choose each BIOTIC accessory according to the animal’s species, body size, natural behaviour, preferred height and environmental requirements.
Biomorphic by Design
What Does Biomorphic Mean?
Biomorphic design draws inspiration from the forms, structures and organising principles found in living systems. It does not reproduce a rock, root or branch literally. Instead, it interprets how natural forms grow, divide, erode, shelter and coexist.
In the BIOTIC range, curves, cavities, openings and transitions are developed in relation to each product’s function. This gives the reptile hides, terrarium ledges and feeding accessories a naturally shaped appearance without turning them into literal imitations of nature.
Not a copy of nature. Designed according to its logic.
Nature’s Spatial Logic
Voronoi-like structures appear in nature wherever space organises itself through growth, separation and pressure. Similar principles can be observed in cellular tissue, insect wings, cracked earth and coral formations.
BIOTIC interprets this spatial logic rather than applying a mathematical pattern as decoration:
- Irregular yet balanced separation
- Rounded boundaries and continuous transitions
- Natural variation instead of uniform repetition
- Forms that feel grown rather than mechanically constructed
These principles give the BIOTIC range its distinctive organic character while supporting shelter, access, movement and controlled feeding.
Build the Habitat Around the Animal
Begin with the needs of the species rather than the number of accessories. Consider whether the animal is terrestrial, climbing or arboreal; where it normally seeks shelter; how it feeds; and which temperature and humidity zones it must be able to access.
Combine only the BIOTIC reptile hides, ledges, dishes and feeding solutions that serve those needs. A well-planned reptile terrarium should provide appropriate shelter, usable space and controlled access to food and water while allowing the animal to choose where it feels secure.
